Roseanne Barr told Fox News' Sean Hannity Thursday that she "made a mistake" when she posted a controversial tweet that led to her getting fired by ABC.

It was her first major TV interview since the incident back in May.

During her sit-down, Barr repeated her claim that she didn't realize former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett was black when she posted the racist comment on Twitter. She noted her tweet was meant to be political.

Asked about what she would say to Jarrett, Roseanne said, "I'm so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn't."

A spinoff of "Roseanne" called "The Conners" is scheduled to premiere on ABC in October. Barr is not a part of the show.
