Dunkin' Donuts Releases Aggressively Festive Cup Design

Dunkin' Donuts unveiled its new seasonal coffee cups, which are rife with holiday symbols. Sorry, Starbucks.

If Starbucks is the Grinch this year, what does this make Dunkin' Donuts?

Dunkin' Donuts unveiled its new seasonal holiday cups. The message: "Joy." The image: a Christmas wreath.

Some say the plain red cups at Starbucks send the message that the company is trying to remove Jesus from the holiday season. Take this guy for example.

"Do you realize that Starbucks wanted to take Christ and Christmas from its holiday cups? That's why they're just plain red," Joshua Feuerstein said

And of course, Donald Trump had an opinion on it all too.

"I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower. Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don't know. Seriously, I don't care," Trump said at a campaign rally.

So the lesson here? Maybe let the competition test the waters with its own designs before you release yours. At least when it comes to Christmas cups.
