The Trump administration has officially announced new temporary and permanent White House counsels, following the departure of Don McGahn Wednesday

Emmet Flood, who worked as special counsel to Trump on the Russia investigation, will now serve as temporary White House counsel. That's until Washington D.C.-based lawyer Pat Cipollone takes over permanently. Flood was also the replacement for lawyer Ty Cobb.

McGahn reportedly told a confidant he wanted Flood to fill his seat.

Cipollone is a former Justice Department official who served during President George H.W. Bush's administration.

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement QUOTE: "President Trump has a great deal of respect for both individuals and is glad to have them on his team."
