Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios named new chief creative officers on Tuesday.
Jennifer Lee and Pete Docter will take over for former CCO John Lasseter after he faced sexual misconduct allegations. Lasseter took a six-month sabbatical and is now in a consulting role with Disney until the end of the year, when he will officially leave the company.
The two will take on Lasseter's job together with Lee taking over as CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Docter taking over as CCO of Pixar Animation Studios.
Lee started at Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2011 and is best known for her work on "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Frozen."
Docter has worked for Pixar for nearly three decades and is best known for his work on "Up," "Inside Out" and "Monsters, Inc."
Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios Alan Horn said Docter and Lee embody "the unique spirit, culture and values of these renowned animation studios."
