Mother's Day might not be until Sunday, but it's never too early to show our moms how much we care. So this week's top three stories all revolve around those cherished women in our lives.
In our No. 3 spot, we have Teddy Bridgewater, a recently drafted NFL player who wanted to give his mom, Rose Murphy, something really special this Mother's Day. (Via Miami Herald)
"Your son just got you a pink Escalade Rose. Did you see the rims? Check out the rims!" (Via Cadillac)
"Good Morning America"'s Robin Roberts called Murphy's attention to those rims on her new Cadillac Escalade because yes, they're pink too.
And this car has been a long time coming.
Bridgewater told a writer for USA Today he'd promised to buy his mother a pink Cadillac Escalade with pink rims while riding home one day from football practice in third grade.
Both Bridgewater and Murphy now say the color pink means a lot more to them because Murphy has battled and successfully beaten breast cancer.
And Murphy got a second Mother's Day gift later this week: Her son was picked up by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday.
Moving on to our second pick: Linda Mochel was featured on the "Today" show this week for the the show's "Mom's the Word" celebration. (Via Facebook / Today Show)
Now, Mochel has 10 children, but she doesn't often get to see them all because she spends the majority of her time working as a nurse at an Indiana hospital. So the network decided to surprise her.
"You might know these guys right here."

But here's the kicker — only kids one through six were there to surprise her with flowers and balloons. Mochel's four oldest live out of state, and she was told they weren't able to make it ... or were they?
"Why don't you turn around? ... You haven't seen your kids in so long. Guys, come on in here!" (Via NBC)
One of Mochel's children spoke with the South Bend Tribune about why the siblings nominated their mom for the series: "It comes along with having 10 kids, but she made a lot of sacrifices, and I just wanted to recognize her for doing awesome things for us."
Mochel was also gifted with a brand new Ford Fusion Hybrid so she can go visit her children and grandchildren no matter where they live.
And finally, in our No. 1 Mother's Day story, Twitter compiled a list of all the top words people use when tweeting about their moms. (Via Twitter)
Some of the top 10 included, "happy," "my everything," "beautiful," "proud" and "amazing."
So ABC anchors decided to describe their moms in one word.
"Oh, my God — rock star."
"Thank you, thank you, thank you."
"Strong."
"Appreciative, and she makes me laugh."
OK, so most of that wasn't really just one word. But, hey! Who can really encapsulate everything their mother is to them in just one word? Well, how about resilient, wise, loyal, inspiring ... OK, we get it. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
