The North Carolina woman who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape back in 2006 has now been convicted of second-degree murder.
Crystal Mangum was sentenced to a minimum of 14 years behind bars after a jury found her guilty in the 2011 death of her then-boyfriend. (Via WCNC)
According to police, 34-year-old Mangum stabbed 46-year-old Reginald Daye after they got into a fight. She claimed Daye started beating her and she stabbed him in self-defense. (Via News 14 Carolina)

During closing arguments, the prosecution told the jury that Mangum should be convicted because the evidence didn't back up her story. But her supporters have a different opinion.
"Had it been an average Joe Blow out here that were never involved in Duke lacrosse, most likely, we have never been in here." (Via WTVD)
Daye's death came five years after Mangum accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping her while she worked as a stripper at a party. The case garnered national attention, the coach was forced to resign, and the university canceled the rest of the team's season.
But her accusations were later proven false, and all charges against the three players were dropped. (Via The New York Times)
And back in 2010, Mangum was found guilty of injury to personal property, resisting a public officer and child abuse when she trashed Daye's car and set his clothes on fire while three children were present.
