Police say they don't know what caused a Colorado high school student to walk into his school's cafeteria and set himself on fire Monday.
The Standley Lake High School student has not been identified by police. But according to KUSA, it was a 16-year-old male student. He reportedly doused his body in oil before setting himself on fire.
That, according to The Denver Post, caused burns over 80 percent of his skin. A cafeteria worker who helped extinguish the fire suffered minor injuries to her hand when she broke through the glass case holding the fire extinguisher.
KDVR reports the school was evacuated around 7:30 in the morning after the incident, and classes were canceled for the rest of the day. Students without cars were bused to a local middle school to be picked up by their parents.
Investigators reportedly searched the entire school to make sure there were no explosive devices in any of the classrooms.
