Novavax has about 30,000 volunteers from the U.S. and Mexico for its COVID vaccine candidate.
The company is in a late stage study and last month said the vaccine was nearly 90 percent effective against the variant found in the U.K..
Novavax's candidate is a two-shot vaccine.
