Amicable split or unwelcome house cleaning?
Thursday both Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd tweeted they are leaving "The View."

Her Tweetwas a bit cryptic: "If Sherri goes... I go too. #sisters"
That combined with the fact that in April, Barbara Walters promised Shepherd and McCarthy would stay with the show seems to indicate some turmoil.
Shepherd released a more formal statement toDeadline, saying, "It’s been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on." Deadline reports Shepherd's contract was coming up, and she and ABC weren't able to come to an agreement on a new deal.
But indeed, other outlets are presenting a not-so-amicable take on the news. TMZ calls it a "firing massacre," saying longtime executive producer Bill Geddie was let go too.
Entertainment Weekly has this statement from ABC: "The View will be moving in an exciting new direction next year and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively."
Maybe it was Walters' highly rated farewell special that sparked change. It saw the return of all the show's hosts ever, and according to some rumors, Rosie O'Donnell... (ViaPeople, The Hollywood Reporter)

And who does this leave still standing for now? Well the show's Facebook page needs a hack job — just Whoopi Goldberg. (Via Facebook / TheView)
There are even rumors floating that male co-hosts could now join the show for the first time ever. At this point we won't be surprised if Barbara comes out of retirement.
