Well, now's your chance. A.V. Club reports the mind behind "Game of Thrones," author George R.R. Martin, is giving fans the opportunity to get killed off in the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire," which inspired the hit HBO show.
It's all for the low, low price of $20,000 — The Hollywood Reporter notes you can choose your character's station in the world (lordling, knight, peasant, lady ... anything), and you're guaranteed a grisly death.
So why is Martin doing this? It's part of a Prizeo campaign to raise money for Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary in New Mexico. It's like Kickstarter, but for a charity. The $20,000 so-called "martyr" donation level is the most expensive.
For other prices, you can get: a video message from Martin, a signed map of Westeros, a script of the first-ever "Game of Thrones" episode signed by the cast and crew, a pair of tickets to next season's red carpet premiere or even breakfast with the author.
And everyone who donates — from the $10 thank-you up to that $20,000 death — will be entered into a raffle to win a trip to New Mexico to meet Martin.

Mashable notes the wolf sanctuary is close to both Martin and his wife, Parris McBride's, hearts. They've worked with it for years.
"The sanctuary now houses more than 60 wolves and wolf-dogs, including a pack of nine named after the warring continent of Westeros featured in Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series."
There are only two months to contribute to Martin's campaign, and only two fans — one man and one woman — will be able to pay ... to be killed.
