The government of Qatar will reportedly purchase the iconic Plaza Hotel in New York.
According to Reuters, a government-owned holding company has agreed to pay $600 million for the hotel.
The iconic hotel has been featured in numerous movies including "Bride Wars," "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" and the 1971 comedy "Plaza Suite."
President Donald Trump used to own the Plaza Hotel before he sold it in the mid 1990s in a deal "valued at $325 million," according to The New York Times.
