Well, everyone, it's Friday the 13th. And you all know what that means. Time for everyone to PANIC! Being scared of this day actually has a name — it's called friggatriskaidekaphobia. Man, that's a mouthful. And so to perpetuate that fear, we have decided to tell you the top three freakiest things to ever happen on this day.

We start with something pretty terrifying that dates back to 1989. It was the Doom's Day of electronics. If this were to happen today, everyone may go into a mass panic. (Via Flickr / Paul-W, 2)

LiveScience has the deets, reporting that on January 13, 1989, something dubbed the "Friday the 13th" virus "infected hundreds of IBM computers across Great Britain, wiping out program files and causing considerable anxiety at a time when large-scale computer viruses were a relatively new threat."

An old article from the Los Angeles Times called it a "new species" and found the virus was programmed so files would be deleted on January 13, which was a Friday.

We're not going to lie. We would absolutely be ... panicking. And it only gets worse from here.

For our second choice, the death of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur. He died Sept. 13, 1996. (Via Interscope Records / "Letter 2 My Unborn" )

Tupac was shot four times on Sept. 7 but didn't pass away until the 13th. He was just 25 years old. (Via MTV)

Next up, we have something that happened overnight and into this Friday the 13th morning.

"A construction worker trapped up to his chest in dirt and mud for eight hours. ... He was replacing a water line when he fell into the 15-foot trench, which collapsed a second time as rescuers tried to remove the dirt." (Via ABC)

Thankfully that Friday the 13th story has a happy ending — the man was pulled free from the mud. But can we talk about unlucky?

And to top it all off, tonight there is a full moon. (Via Flickr / Trypode)
