Its has only been days since actress Misty Upham's body was found and there is already a lot of speculation as to what happened to her.
Thebody was found by family members near the White River in Auburn, Washington about a week and a half after she was last seen leaving her family member's home.
Police have not released a cause of death, but her family has shared their theory on Upham's Facebook page.
The family has given updates on the page since Upham first went missing. At first they shared their fears that Upham was suicidal, but abandoned this theory after her body was found.
They wrote they believe Upham ran into the woods to hide from police and then slipped and fell on a steep embankment.
The family also said Upham might have had a fear of police because of a prior incident when they say officers taunted her while escorting her to the ER. And the family has criticized police before. Since the search for Upham began, her family has been saying police should have done more.
ROBERT UPHAM VIA KCPQ: "Somebody should have acted quicker to respond to go look for her. Maybe she could still be her with us."
Upham's "August: Osage County" castmate Juliette Lewis is offering a different theory — a pretty bold one. She's implied Upham's death was no accident.
Lewis tweeted, "Misty spoke out a lot against injustices within Native community. And had known enemies."
Police say they have found no evidence of foul play. A vigil for the actress is being held Monday.
