Rivers hosts "Fashion Police" on E! and an unnamed source told the network she stopped breathing during an endoscopic procedure. The source also said it was a minor procedure and doctors were checking out her vocal cords.

Some close to Rivers say they saw no visible signs of health problems before she was hospitalized. The comedienne even taped a special Emmys episode of "Fashion Police" earlier this week.

Rivers was scheduled to perform at the Count Basie theater in New Jersey Friday, but that performance has since been postponed.
