Hundreds of furloughed government employees and contractors held a 33-minute-long silent protest on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, day 33 of the partial government shutdown. This week workers will miss their second paycheck as Congress and the White House remain at a standstill over funding for a border wall. Many say the lack of income is forcing them to have to choose food over medicine, and to borrow money to pay for their housing.
