Comic-Con has announced it's canceling its annual festival in San Diego in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

It's the first time in the festival's 50-year history that the July pop culture celebration isn't being held. Event organizers say it will return in July 2021.

People who already purchased tickets will be able to request a refund, or get tickets for next year, instead.

WonderCon Anaheim, which is organized by the same group, is also being pushed back a year.
