Boeing announced a first-quarter loss of more than $640 million Wednesday. It outlined a recovery that requires reducing production on all its passengers jets and cutting 10% of its workforce. But it also relies on restarting production on the 737 Max, a plane riddled with controversy and grounded for more than a year.
