The BBC confirmed the troubled actress will make her West End stage debut in a new production of the David Mamet play "Speed-the-Plow."
Last week, The New York Times reported Lohan was possibly doing the production, although it hadn't been announced yet. She told the outlet: "It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that. I'm nervous but I'm excited."
But reaction at the time was basically, "We'll believe it when we see it." (Via Us Weekly, Toronto Star, Gossip Cop)
Now, we can believe it — but we have to wait to see it.
Broadway World says the play, a satirical look at Hollywood executives, won't start previews until the end of September. And its official premiere? Not until October.
But tickets for the 80 or so scheduled performances are already for sale. So far, LiLo's the only actor attached to the project. (Via ATG Tickets)

This will be 27-year-old Lohan's first major job since leaving rehab last year. And it's an undertaking.
It's eight performances a week — and Access Hollywood says the show better have a good understudy ready. Lohan isn't exactly known for being reliable ... or on time.

So fingers crossed for this production — and for Lohan. The Internet is ready to tear her apart.
The Daily Beast's Kevin Fallon plans to "analyze every single acting choice she makes in the production and every report about her behavior during rehearsals."
