It was almost 10 years in the making: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are married! Cue media frenzy and our hearts leaping out of our chests.
According to People magazine, the pair married Saturday in France.
There had been rumors for years they'd marry at their sprawling Chateau Miraval estate there. It features a vineyard and dozens of rooms.
Different media have varying amounts of detail here. E! says the ceremony was private and held at a small chapel.
The outlet says the pair's six children were part of the nuptials, that Maddox and Pax walked Jolie down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne were flower girls and Shiloh and Knox were ring bearers. Yep. Hearts. Melting.
The couple got engaged in 2012 when Pitt proposed with a ring he'd designed. For some time they said:
"We would not be getting married until everyone in this country had the right to get married."
"And I love that."
But they changed course. Still, in May of this year, Jolie said things were ambiguous.
"We don't have a date, and we're not hiding anything. ... The important thing is that whenever we do it, that the kids do have a great time, and we all take seriously the love and the connection between all of us."
Fifty-year-old PItt and 39-year-old Jolie have been together since 2005.
And the wedding comes on the heels of news the two will film steamy scenes together for their upcoming film, their first on-screen reunion since the movie they met on: "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."
It was written and is being directed by Jolie. They're filming near the couple's home in the Republic of Malta.
And we hate to, but have to point it out: Add this to the long list of ironic coincidences over the years. The news totally overshadowed what would've been Thursday morning's big entertainment news story:
Jennifer Aniston's "Friends" reunion on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday night.
