Video surfaced Wednesday showing members of Russian activist group Pussy Riot being beaten in Sochi by Cossacks patrolling the winter Olympics.
"The group said they were attacked with pepper spray and beaten as they tried to preform a song." The women, along with one man, were reportedly trying to film a music video for a song called 'Putin Will Teach You to Love the Motherland.' (Via BBC)
Among those members— Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova — the two women known for serving almost two years in prison after being convicted of hooliganism for performing a song denouncing Vladimir Putin in a Moscow cathedral back in 2012. (ViaITN)
Alyokhina posted these pictures on Twitter after Wednesday's incident. In all, the whole episode lasted about 3 minutes.
This comes just one day after the two women were part of a group arrested on suspicion of theft at their hotel. They claimed during that time authorities punched them and dragged them on the ground. (Via The New York Times)

Despite all the whipping and use of pepper spray, no one was arrested in the most recent incident.
