The world's largest retailer may be headed to Israel, according to Bloomberg.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly discussed welcoming Walmart to the country with a top company executive at the World Economic Forum last week.
The big-box store would be an economic win for Israel, which has had some difficulties attracting retailers due to a small economy and troubled relations with its neighbors.
A spokesperson for Netanyahu said of Walmart, "We made it clear we are ready to ease regulatory burdens wherever possible to make the market more accessible to them."
