Here's a cover that held Kelso High School students' diplomas. Just one problem — see that Oregon seal on it?
It'd be great if Kelso High School were actually in Oregon.
But, it's in Washington state.
"School officials say it was an ordering mistake. Nothing was wrong with the actual diplomas," a KIRO anchor said.
And KPTV reports no one noticed the mistake until Saturday's graduation ceremony.
Unfortunately, there's no excuse for confusing one state seal for the other.
Oregon's seal clearly shows a bald eagle and wagon, while George Washington is the star of Washington state's seal. After all, the state is named after the first U.S. president.
Kelso High School is reprinting the diploma covers.
