A third member of the National Security Council is stepping down as new national security adviser John Bolton reportedly looks to build his own team.
Deputy national security adviser Nadia Schadlow said she would stay on until April 27. In her resignation letter she said she wanted to facilitate a smooth transition between former national security adviser H.R. McMaster's team and Bolton's.
Her resignation comes after homeland security adviser Tom Bossert announced his resignation. The panel's top spokesperson also announced plans to leave within the last few days.
It's not clear whom Bolton is planning on bringing onto his team, but he's reportedly looking at resumes of current NSC staffers.
