With just two days till Christmas, Santa Claus is a very busy guy. But apparently he had a little time in his schedule to stop by a Bakersfield, California, Target store Monday to pick up some last-minute gifts for some good girls and boys.
"I got the elves working on this, but Hot Wheels beat me," Santa told KERO.
And Santa's visit to the retailer definitely got everyone's attention.
"I see Santa," a shopper said while snapping a photo on her phone.
St. Nick had teamed up with Toys for Tots to make sure local kids in the community got presents Christmas morning.
The Toys for Tots program was started by the U.S. Marine Corps back in 1995.
"If you are him, here's my list."
Since then, Toys for Tots says on its website it's collected more than 469 million toys to deliver to 216 million children around the country.
Santa did get a little help during his shopping spree. But not from his elves.
Instead, it was a group of real estate agents who donated portions of their commissions so Santa could purchase the toys.
Because of the generosity of those real estate agents and some Target shoppers who gave money while in the store, Santa purchased more than $5,000 worth of toys.
