Carson announced Friday he’s accepted a job as the chairman of My Faith Votes, a nonprofit group devoted to organizing Christian voters.
The organization claims 25 million registered Christians opted not to vote in the 2012 elections. So far, Carson hasn’t endorsed any of the remaining GOP candidates vying for the party’s nomination.

The medical community received the news it’s feared — but frankly, expected — for some time. It does appear the Zika virus causes severe birth defects.
The information was based on two studies published Friday — one from the U.S. may have identified how the virus causes microcephaly. Another from U.S. and Brazilian researchers found Zika infection during pregnancy is likely connected to “grave” outcomes for the babies.
The virus is commonly spread by mosquitoes, though scientists have acknowledged human contact can transmit it.

They involve possible plagiarism of The New York Times crossword puzzle. FiveThirtyEight reports some “investigative” puzzlers documented an editor consistently copying elements within the Times’ crossword and reusing them years later.
FiveThirtyEight did talk to the editor accused of plagarism, who said the repeated clues and answers were coincidence.
