North Korea has moved up its timeframe for launching an Earth observation satellite.

Instead of a two-and-a-half week window later this month, South Korea’s defense ministry has announced the North plans to launch sometime in the next week and perhaps as early as Sunday.

That doesn’t sit well with the U.S. and its allies who believe the launch is simply a front for testing technology for intercontinental ballistic missiles.
