The killing spree in Isla Vista, California left six victims dead. And as of Sunday, the Barbara County Sheriff's office has released names for three of those victims.
"You don't think it'll happen to your child, until it does. Chris was a really great kid, ask anyone who knew him."
That was, Richard Martinez who lost his son, 20-year-old Christopher Martinez in the shooting. Christopher Martinez was an English major at University of California - Santa Barbara with plans to go to law school. (Via CBS)
He was shot and killed in this convenient store, where friends and family have placed flowers in his memory in the glass where the bullet holes are. (Via KNBC)
The youngest of the three victims identified by police is 19-year-old Veronika Weiss a freshman at UCSB. Weiss was shot outside of the Alpha Phi sorority house. (Via Twitter /@veronika_weiss)

Weiss was a star water polo player at Westlake high school in in Thousand Oaks California according to the local paper. (Via Thousand Oaks Acorn)
Also killed outside the sorority house was 22-year-old Katherine Cooper, who according to USA Today was on her way to an Art History degree. One of her friends spoke about the lost friend, saying "She was a self-proclaimed princess and I love her for that ... And I know she has a crown on her head today."
Saturday night the Isla Vista community came together for a candle light vigil by the hundreds to honor these victims and others who lost their lives. (Via KABC)

Police say the other three victims who died lived in the same apartment as the suspected killer and were stabbed to death, their identities have yet to be released.
