Golfer Phil Smith decided to put his putting skills to use and help his 7-year-old son Noah ... knock out his own tooth.
"We're going to hit it, and when we hit it, we're hoping that the tooth comes out of Noah's mouth. ... One, two ... we have a tooth with a stick in it," Smith says.
We're with KTRK on this one — let's hope the tooth fairy gives Noah a little extra dough for this.
And some had slightly mixed reactions. Although Golf News Net called Smith "Dad of the Year," the writer ended the article by saying he or she wasn't sure whether to commend Smith or call Child Protective Services.
But Noah looks fine. There was the initial shock of the whole thing ...
But Smith told YouTube commenters Noah called it painless, unlike when Noah tried to pull some of his teeth himself in the past.
"I understand that everybody's got their view of stuff ... some of them saw it as abuse, but it was loose ... to me it's no different than jerking it or tying it to the door ... He said it was a lot easier than when he's pulled it out on his own before," Smith told us on Skype.
Kind of like ripping off a bandage, right? Do it quickly!
Noah also told us he ended up getting three bucks for his tooth. Not too shabby.
