A U.S. Senate committee approved both Wilbur Ross and Elaine Chao for roles in President Donald Trump's Cabinet.
As secretary of commerce, Ross will lead the Trump administration in trade policy. Ross said he wants to renegotiate NAFTA, and he says he's not anti-trade, but pro-sensible trade.
Chao, the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, was widely considered one of Trump's least controversial picks.
As transportation secretary, Chao will be in charge of making real Trump's dream of boosting U.S. infrastructure. In her confirmation hearings, she gave few details on how she planned to do so.
She served under former Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.
Both Ross and Chao still have to be approved by the full Senate.
