"Frozen" is coming to "Once Upon a Time."
That much we knew, because the show's May season finale ended with everyone's favorite ice princess, er, queen, Elsa, appearing out of nowhere. (Via ABC / "Once Upon a Time")
ABC followed up that surprise ending with the news that Elsa, her sister Anna and mountain man Kristoff would join the fantasy series that mashes up Disney fairytales. (Via Walt Disney Animation Studios / "Frozen")
And now, casting has been announced. Well, some of it. TVLine has confirmed that Scott Michael Foster and Elizabeth Lail are joining the show for season four.
Foster, who you might remember as Cappie on ABC Family's "Greek," will play Kristoff.
And Lail – a newcomer whose credits are limited to student productions – landed the role of Anna. (Via Vimeo / Don W.)
But what about Elsa? (Via Disney)
The Internet has rallied behind 18-year-old social media personality Anna Faith Carlson, who caught a lot of attention for her Elsa cosplay pictures. (Via Hollywood Life, Daily Mail, ABC)
She's racked up more than 400,000 Instagram followers with those pics ...
And told Fox News she would love to take on the live-action role, but hasn't heard anything from Disney, which owns ABC.
That might be because "Once Upon a Time" is shooting for someone older for the role.
According to BREATHEcast, the original casting breakdown called for an actress in her late 20s or early 30s ...

ABC will have to make a decision about Elsa soon – production on "Once Upon a Time's" fourth season will begin in the coming weeks to make its fall premiere.
