It's International Women's Day, and McDonald's is flipping excited. The fast-food chain is flipping its logo March 8 from the iconic "M" to a "W."

The logo will be upside-down on its website, on some of its packaging and at one restaurant in California.

According to McDonald's, 3 out of 5 of its restaurant managers are women.

International Women's Day is celebrated in March every year. According to the movement's website, it is "a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women." This year's theme is Press for Progress — which pushes for gender parity.
