Coca-Cola, one of the largest beverage companies in the world, is going to start selling booze this year. But don't get too excited.
The company is launching a Chu-Hi drink in Japan. It's a canned beverage traditionally made with sparkling water, some flavoring and — you guessed it — alcohol. The booze comes from a Japanese liquor called shōchū.
You might be wondering if this drink will ever make its way to other markets like Coca-Cola's home country, the U.S. The company says probably not — Chu-Hi is pretty exclusive to Japan.
But that doesn't mean Coca-Cola will never experiment in other places. Coca-Cola's CEO told CNN last month "never say never" about introducing some kind of alcoholic drink in the U.S.
