The White House was put on a brief lockdown Friday afternoon after a car hit a nearby security barrier.

The Secret Service says the white van didn't breach the barrier at the White House complex. Officers then arrested the driver, adding that no law enforcement were hurt and no shots were fired during the incident. Officials told reporters the female driver may have acted intentionally.

Security was tight around the White House as nearby streets were closed. President Trump was inside the White House. He was hosting Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. Officials say the president wasn't in any danger.
