Utah doctor Martin MacNeill's facelift murder trial has come to an end as a jury of eight ruled he was guilty of murdering his wife six years ago.

The 57-year-old is said to have forced his wife to undergo the facelift surgery. She was found dead in April of 2007 days later by her then-6-year-old daughter. She had seven other children. (Via Fox News)
Originally, she was thought to have died of natural causes — specifically a heart condition — but a toxicology report performed three years after her death determined a lethal cocktail of prescription pain medication likely led to cardiac death.

Investigators said Dr. MacNeill murdered his wife so he could be with his mistress, Gypsy Willis, who was a nursing student. (Via HLN)

Dr. MacNeill was also convicted of obstruction of justice and faces up to life in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 7.
