President Donald Trump may share a laugh with the people he's criticized for his entire presidency: the media.
The White House confirmed the president will attend the Gridiron Club dinner on March 3, meaning he'll be sharing a meal with some of the country's top journalists.
Trump has had a contentious relationship with the media, calling them the "enemy of the American people," and has repeatedly used the term "fake news."
Trump was invited last year, but declined so he could go to a rally to celebrate his first 100 days in office. The Gridiron Club has hosted past presidents for a comedic roast that takes aim at both political parties.
It remains to be seen if he'll attend the 2018 White House Correspondents' Dinner. Trump declined an invitation to last year's event, becoming the first president to skip it since Ronald Reagan in 1981.
