ANOTHER gaffe for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. The same mayor who eats pizza with a fork, now has dropped the state's groundhog ON Groundhog Day.

"Yeah, dropping the ball quite literally on Groundhog Day. ... Chuck did recover, made his prediction. I think he was seeing stars, but they say he saw his shadow, too." (Via WNBC

Yes, this is the same guy who enraged New Yorkers when he ate pizza with a fork and knife last month. The nerve! (Via The New York Times

And did we mention he's a Red Sox fan, too? Seriously, how's this guy mayor of NYC? (Via The Boston Globe

But, hold up a second. Maybe de Blasio isn't solely to blame here. Staten Island Chuck has proven hard to handle before.

And let's just say Bloomberg still held a grudge over it two years later. (Via New York Daily News

Both Staten Island Chuck AND Punxsutawney Phil saw their shadows this year, so looks like it's cold weather for six more weeks.
