Inglewood Police Look For Shooter After 2 Officers Injured

Two police officers were reportedly taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after shots were fired in a Southern California home.

Details of what led to the incident have been sketchy, but according to KCAL, one of the home's residents was reportedly being held hostage by the unidentified suspect, who was allegedly threatening to shoot if the police didn't stand down.

According to the Los Angeles Times: "The shooting occurred near 108th Street and 5th Avenue. ... There are reports of an active shooter still in the area. Several media outlets reported a possible barricade situation."

A SWAT team and armored vehicles were reportedly on the scene — where at least two children have been freed. A woman is reportedly still being held hostage. (Via KABC)

The two wounded officers were taken to a nearby hospital. Their condition is not yet known.
