Two shocking new developments are adding tension to the Bryan Singer sexual abuse lawsuit. The director's lawyer Marty Singer has reportedly filed a motion to have the case thrown out — the same day Singer's accuser allegedly passed a polygraph test.

Singer's deposition puts him in Canada while he was filming the movie "X-Men." The lawyer asked a judge to dismiss the case because of the Hawaii court's lack of jurisdiction.
The 48-year-old director included a statement with the motion, explaining the "sordid" case was made to "precipitate a shakedown of a perceived 'deep pocket.'"
However, on that very same day, Egan's lawyer Jeff Herman told The Daily Beast the model/actor had "passed" a lie detector test.
Marty Singer fired back with this response:
"If you spoke to hundreds and thousands of lawyers across America, I don't think anyone would ask their client to take a lie detector test before filing a lawsuit, unless they thought their client was not telling the truth." (Via The Daily Beast)
The motion also claims Egan's suit, filed April 15, had been timed "to maximize public attention" prior to the release of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which Singer directed.
Variety spoke with Egan's representation. He said he can't discuss details outside of what's already been presented to the court, but, "Many of the things being reported are being taken out of context or you're only hearing one side of the story." (Via Variety)
Also, three other men charged in the sexual abuse case are attempting to chip away at Egan's story. They are David Neuman, Garth Ancier, and Gary Goddard.
Entertainment Weekly reports last week, Neuman filed a similar motion to dismiss the case. He based it on the same evidence as well as Egan’s decade-old testimony that Neuman had "never acted improperly." (Via Entertainment Weekly, KCBS)
The motion can be read in full at The Hollywood Reporter. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is set to open this weekend.
