What was supposed to be an innocent Father's Day gift ended with threats to a Wisconsin family. Roxanne Daly surprised her husband with a Batman-themed photo shoot, and the attention led to criticism.

Uni Lad magazine posted the family portrait to its Facebook page with the caption, "I finally agreed to do a family photo ... but only on my terms." That post has been shared more 20,000 times as of Tuesday morning, with more than 270,000 likes.

In the photo, Roxanne's husband, Mike, is seen pretending to be Batman, Roxanne is playing a damsel in distress and their son is Batman's sidekick, Robin.

"Literally, it, like, exploded within minutes," Mike Daly told WDJT.

The pictures have been getting a lot of media attention with positive headlines. The words "cute" and "adorable" are being thrown around.

The photographer says all this attention is a career highlight, adding in another post, "I hope my 10 seconds of fame never ends..."

But with the publicity also came criticism.

The track seen in the photos is reportedly active, and advocates for train safety said it wasn't a safe place to have a photo shoot, especially with a young child.

However, the Daly family said they weren't aware of those restrictions and never expected people to get this upset.

"Some people posted our address on the internet, make threats, say that they're going to show up to the house at the middle of the night," said Mike Daly.

According to Wisconsin law, only railroad workers or authorized reporters are allowed to walk the tracks.

But Fox anchor Brian Kilmeade said because everything turned out fine, it's not that big of a deal.

"Everything turned out OK, and that's what I think happened in that picture, and I survived my childhood. I'm sure Robin will be fine," said Brian Kilmeade on "Fox and Friends."

The little boy — or Batman's sidekick — is fine. Roxanne says all she wanted to do was surprise her husband with a cool photo shoot and create memories that will last forever.
