Four people were shot at a tax preparation office in Detroit Friday, and according to WXYZ it allegedly happened after a woman got upset her tax refund check wasn't ready for her.
The office's co-owner told the outlet, when the woman and two others she was with were asked to leave for being disruptive, one of them pulled out a gun and started firing.
According to WDIV, it was a 19-year-old man that reportedly fired the gun. The man allegedly shot a security guard and three other store employees.
WITNESS: "Whoever the guy was, he wasn't playing, period. They must've owed some money or something, but he wasn't playing, because he did it in broad day with no mask. No nothing."
The Detroit Free Press notes the shooting started inside the store and soon moved outside. The paper adds someone walking by waved down police and pointed out the suspected shooter.
WJBK reports the unnamed 19-year-old was arrested shortly after the shooting, and 27-year-old Angel Moore — the woman reportedly upset about her refund check — turned herself in Friday. Police are still looking for another woman who was with the two now in custody.
Police say they recovered the gun reportedly used in the shooting. As of Saturday morning, all four shooting victims remain in the hospital. WDIV reports they're listed in serious and critical condition.
