The U.S. women's hockey team beat Canada on Thursday to win the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
The last time the U.S. women's team won gold was 20 years ago at the Nagano Winter Games in Japan.
Thursday's match was the third consecutive time the U.S. and Canada played each other in an Olympic final, and the two teams kept viewers on the edge of their seats until the very last minute.
The teams were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, and neither team scored during the 20-minute overtime, forcing a shootout.
This was the second time the U.S. and Canada competed against each other during these Winter Games. They first played in a preliminary round, with Canada winning the match 2-1.
