What was supposed to be an NFC showdown between the 10-1 Seattle Seahawks and the 9-2 New Orleans Saints turned into a beating by Seattle. But before the Seattle fans knew the Saints wouldn't even be competitive, they caused an earthquake.
"How excited were the fans? Well the Seattle Times is saying all the jumping that happened during a fumble return caused a 1 or 2 magnitude earthquake." (Via WXIA)
The Seattle Times tweeted about the magnitude 1 or 2 quake during the game, which prompted the Seahawks' twitter to respond, "can we get seismic activity added to team stats?" (Via Twitter / @Seahawks)
According to CNN there were more than five different seismic events during the game. But the most intense came during the this 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown by d-lineman Michael Bennett. (Via MSNBC)
And surprisingly it's something about when the New Orleans Saints come marching in to Seattle, that really brings the best out of those fans.

The seismic activity was registered on a seismometer a block away in a warehouse that belongs to the University of Washington. (Via The Seattle Times)
The Hawks routed the Saints 34-7 in what most are calling a statement game by Seattle that gives the team a comfortable two game lead over everybody in the NFC.
