Apple has announced its new iPhone lineup, along with a new version of the Apple Watch that health experts say is changing the way doctors practice medicine.

CEO Tim Cook introduced three new followups to the iPhone X at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, Wednesday.

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will include a faster processor, more storage and a longer battery life. The Max boasts a 6.5 inch screen, which is a bigger display than the current Plus size phones.  A cheaper alternative, the iPhone XR, comes in several different colors, but won't have all of those new features.

Apple's Series 4 Watch also got a redesign, with a larger display face and a focus on health. It includes an FDA-approved heart-monitoring device. The built-in EKG feature can send heart function data to your doctor in real-time. During the reveal, the President of the American Heart Association said being able to collect that kind of health information is crucial.

"In my experience people often report symptoms that are absent during their medical visits," Dr. Ivor Benjamin said. "That is why information is vital. Information about a person's daily lifestyle choices and their specific health data. Their ability to access health data on demand electrocardiogram or ECG is game changing, especially when evaluating atrial fibrillation."

Prices for the new watch start at $399. You'll have to shell out $999 or more for the new iPhone models.

Pre-orders of the Series 4, XS and XS Max start Friday and will ship beginning Sept. 21. The XR starts its pre-orders Oct. 19, with shipping  Oct. 26.
