More than 5.1 million pounds of raw beef products were recalled Tuesday because of possible salmonella contamination.
The USDA announcement comes after nearly 7 million pounds of beef from the same company was recalled in October, bringing the total to over 12 million pounds.
The recalled products are from JBS Tolleson, Inc. and were produced and packed from July 26 through Sept. 7. The USDA says it identified 246 people across 25 states who fell ill.
The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said it's concerned there may still be affected products in people's freezers.
The beef products have the establishment number “EST. 267” and were shipped to retailers nationwide.
