If you've ever wanted to swim 10 stories above the city of London in a clear glass pool, then you're in luck. (Video YouTube / Michael Wood)
A "sky pool" is coming to a new London housing development. It's basically exactly what it sounds like — an 82-by-16-foot pool suspended more than 100 feet in the sky with just about 8 inches of glass between you and the world below.
The pool is set to go up in the Nine Elms district of London, where the city is working on a 15-year development plan meant to bring in jobs and housing and rejuvenate the area near the River Thames.
And if that wasn't enough for you, the rooftop will also feature a bar, sun loungers, a spa and an orangery — essentially a greenhouse for oranges.
The CEO of Ballymore Group, the company creating this cool and equally terrifying pool, said in a statement: "I wanted to do something that had never been done before. ... The experience of the pool will be truly unique, it will feel like floating through the air in central London."
Floating — and not falling — we hope. A spot in the new flats at Embassy Gardens costs about $940,000. Start saving up.
