As the Gaza war stretches past it's 50th day, we take a look at one of Israel's longest recent conflicts.

​The conflict in Gaza has entered its 50th day. 

On July 8, Israel launched "Operation Protective Edge" against Hamas targets. (Video via Channel 4) 

ABC: "Today, Israeli defense forces escalated the battle with Hamas."

NBC: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed the ground offensive will continue as long as necessary."
