It's been more than 30 since a 23-year-old French hiker went missing in the Alps after going on a solo climb. But after all this time, his body has finally been discovered.
"Hikers stumbled on the frozen remains of Patrice Hyvert on Mount Blanc in the Alps last Thursday. Hyvert was last seen March 1, 1982." (Via WGHP)
According to The Telegraph, Hyvert was training to be a guide when he went on the fatal climb. It's believed he became trapped after an abrupt change in the weather brought a snowstorm down on him during his descent.

When he was finally found, Hyvert's body was easily identified as he still had his ID on him. Authorities then contacted Hyvert's family before releasing information to the media.
TheBBC translated an interview from Hyvert's father, who is now 82 years old. He admitted finding his son wasn't exactly a relief, saying, "I'm a mountain man, and I would have preferred him to stay up there. ... He was better on a mountain than in a coffin. He was in his element."

In fact, there are currently two climbers missing in an area near where Hyvert's body was discovered.
They reportedly went missing Sunday after they were separated from their group due to bad weather. (Via Chamonet)
There is a team looking for the pair but search efforts have been hampered because of inclement weather.
