Daniel is an investigative producer and data journalist with Scripps News. Daniel is based in Iowa City. He specializes in data-driven and investigative reporting on national politics and a wide range of other news topics. Over the course of his career, Daniel has earned several awards, including recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, the White House Correspondents' Association, and the Society of Environmental Journalists.
Daniel holds a degree from Haverford College and began his journalism career at The Ames Tribune in Iowa. He was an investigative reporter for The Des Moines Register and The Dallas Morning News before joining Scripps News.
