Alex Zuckerman is the Director of Washington Operations for Scripps News. Zuckerman is responsible for the overall logistics and planning for news events, including strategies for enhancing the newsgathering footprint. Prior to joining Scripps in October 2019, Zuckerman played a pivotal role in the 2014 launch of CBS News' 24/7 digital streaming network in New York. During her time at CBS News, Zuckerman was called to field produce from major breaking news events including the 2017 Las Vegas concert shooting and the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, FL. In 2017, Zuckerman relocated from New York to D.C. in an effort to expand CBS News’ streaming footprint in the capital. Zuckerman’s prior experience also includes web production for Discovery Inc. and production roles at CNN-DC Bureau, NBC News, MSNBC and Fox News London bureau.
Zuckerman continues to drive impactful initiatives and cultivate strategic relationships within the Washington media landscape for the E.W. Scripps company. Zuckerman is a graduate of Syracuse University with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Communications Rhetoric.
