The March for Our Lives event has caught the eye of one Hollywood power couple.

George and Amal Clooney said in a statement Tuesday they'll join the Florida shooting survivors and others at the march in Washington, D.C on March 24. They also said they'll donate $500,000.

The Clooneys say they are "inspired by the courage and eloquence of these young men and women from Stoneman Douglas High School."

March for Our Lives says its mission is to "demand that a comprehensive and effective bill be immediately brought before Congress to address ... gun issues."
